Advent Art Exhibit
Sundays & Christmas Eve | In the Atrium & Parlor
Grace Commons has partnered with Christos Collective, a faith-based group of artists from Denver who demonstrate visually their own individual and personal experiences based on the themes of Advent. You can view the artwork in person on Sunday mornings through Advent. We invite you to reflect and enjoy!
Many of these artists will have items available for sale during their Advent Art Market on Dec 1, 9am–noon in Oerter.
Advent Story 2024
The celebration of Advent is possible only to those who are troubled in soul, who know themselves to be poor and imperfect, and who look forward to something greater to come.—Dietrich Bonhoeffer
The Advent season reminds us to be present to the waiting, actively waiting, and sitting in the tension of waiting. We celebrate that Jesus came to earth in a human form, he changed everything when he conquered death and made possible an intimate relationship with God. . . but we are also waiting for what he is GOING TO DO when he comes again, when he redeems all. We are in the middle, not the beginning or the end, of the redemption story. And while waiting can sometimes sound like a four letter word, this season is not without hope. It is a beautiful invitation to rest our troubled souls in the peace offered in Christ, hoping for what is to come because we know what has already been done.
