Volunteers (if you wish to Volunteer, contact us at info@deaconscloset.org)

Deacons' Closet always welcomes like-minded volunteers into our Ministry, and as our Ministry is growing, so is our need for volunteers. We have a great group of people who do the Lord's work in helping the less fortunate, and we have a lot of fun and fellowship along the way. We welcome all volunteers of any (or no) faith. If you have a few hours a week/month that can be used to care for the least among us, here are our volunteer needs:

  • Receive donations: Monday and Thursday, 10am–noon
  • Sort and size:  Monday: 9:30am–1pm, Thursday: 10am–2pm, Friday:10:30am–1pm
  • Serve guests: Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30am–11am (includes set-up and takedown
    efforts).
  • Shopping for bargains: Usually Tuesday and/or Saturday mornings.

Monetary Donations (all donations are tax deductible)

Deacons' Closet is a 501(c)3 Tax Exempt Organization

Deacons' Closet relies on donations for funding needs.  In addition to clothing, we provide coffee, water and snack bars to our guests, and we routinely have to purchase clothing and footwear as necessary to fill gaps in donations.

Monetary donations for Deacons' Closet use can be made:

  • at deaconscloset.org
  • to Grace Commons Church by check (Requires the annotation “Deacons' Closet” on the memo line).
